Vicki Dickens

Vicki Thomas Dickens, 68 of Sanford passed away Thursday January 10, 2019. Memorial services will be held at 3:00pm Thursday January 17, 2019 at Mt Pisgah Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends starting at 2:00pm Thursday in the Sanctuary prior to the Memorial service.

Vicki was born in Sanford, a daughter of the late Ruth McFarland McNeill and George W. Thomas and step father James McNeill She also was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Neill Thomas.

Mrs. Dickens is survived by her husband, David Dickens; son, Brannon Perry Dickens; grandchildren, Cade, Rob and Taylor Dickens; sisters, Bonnie Thomas and husband Billy of Broadway, Bobbi Garrett and husband Bob of Broadway; brother, David McFarland of Broadway; sister in law Linda Thomas of Broadway; sister in law Brenda Hogan of Greensboro; many nieces and nephews.

Vicki was a loving and fun person. She and her family lived at Buffalo Lake where they enjoyed swimming, skiing, tubing, boating, kayaking and horseback riding. They also enjoyed going to the beach and the mountains and just being together. She loved talking on the phone to her family & friends and going shopping to find a good bargain. But the most important thing to Vicki was taking care of her family, husband, son and grandchildren who were so dear to her heart.
