Victor Raul Torres

Victor Raul Torres Sr. of Pacifica, California passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in North Carolina. Victor died of complications with lung and heart disease.

Victor was born in Trujillo, Peru on November 15, 1931 to Fernando Torres Castaneda & Lucila Zamudio Rodrigues.

He immigrated to the United States from Lima, Peru in 1962, where he got settled then sent for his family. Victor had a lifelong career at the San Francisco Newspaper Agency where he was well-loved by all he worked with. Victor was a hard worker and was always devoted to the needs of his family. It seems Victor’s most precious gift was to make others feel better just by being in his presence. He was charismatic, intelligent, funny and a big joker - always the life of the party. You can see Victor still dancing on his 90th birthday. In addition to his big heart he had a magnetic personality. He will surely be missed.

Victor is survived by his wife Cipriana Guzman and his 4 children: Victor Torres Jr., Gustavo Torres, Monica Torres Hersch & Antony Toboada as well as his 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Victor is also survived by his brother Fernando Torres, his sister Etelvina Torres, his many nieces and nephews and his family.

He is now at peace and is reunited with his late wife Rosa, his daughter Betsy and his grandson Jonathan.
