Virginia Turner "Ginny" Cumbee

Virginia Turner “Ginny” Goudelock Cumbee of Sanford passed away Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Duke University Medical Center. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Friday at First Baptist Church

Mrs. Cumbee was born in Hartsville, SC, and was preceded in death by her father, George E. Goudelock. Ginny retired from teaching following at 32 year career serving in Lee, Harnett and Chatham Counties, and in South Carolina. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Koinonia\Mike Thomas Sunday School Class, and served in various areas.

Mrs. Cumbee is survived by her husband, Kendall Cumbee; daughter, Paige C. Motley (Tyler) and known by his “GiGi” as the #1 grandson, Jackson Motley; son, Benjamin Cumbee; mother, Nelle Cheatham Goudelock; brother, George E. Goudelock.

The family will receive friends from at 1:00pm until 2:30pm Friday in the Parlor at First Baptist Church.
