COVID-19 ANNOUNCMENT
A native of Lee County, William is a graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta. He began his employment with Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home in 1981. William is married to the former Chastity Dawn Gunter. The Pickard’s reside in west Sanford with their three daughters. They are members of the First Baptist Church.
Marty began his employment with Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home in 1994. He is a 30 year veteran of the Sanford Police Department. A graduate of the FBI National Academy at Quantico, and Central Carolina Community College, Marty is married to the former Amy Fraley of Cameron. They reside in Carolina Trace and have four children. The Coles are members of Crossroads Ministries.
Tiffany comes from the Barbecue area of Harnett County. Tiffany joined Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home in August of 2000. She is a graduate of Fayetteville Technical community College with an Associate Degree in Funeral Service Education She resides in the Northview community with her husband, James Ray Burnette, Jr.
Robert was born in Lee County, and raised in Jonesboro. He joined Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home in the summer of 2004. Robert previously worked in furniture sales for 21 years. He is a 1968 graduate of Sanford Central High School, and is a member of Grace Chapel Church. Robert has 4 children.
Jimmie W. Wicker was a Sanford resident all his life, and married to the former Esther Campbell of Broadway. He was a veteran, having served his country in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. The Wicker’s are members of St. Luke United Methodist Church. They have one son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter.
Ross was born in Harnett County and raised on farms in the Cape Fear area, and also in the Barbecue area of Harnett County. Ross started work at an early age at the former Kammer’s Men’s Store on Steele Street. He and his late wife “Dot,” later purchased the store and operated it until retirement. The Pittman’s have one son. Ross later remarried Iris Crissman Pendergrass Pittman.
Jim was born and raised in the Pocket Community of Lee County. Jim resides in Broadway with his wife, the former Cathy Davis. Jim has worked in the office supply business industry for 35 years. The Paschal’s are members of Juniper Springs Baptist Church in Carbonton. Jim has two children and one stepson. He is a 1963 graduate of Sanford Central High School, and a Broadway Town Commissioner.
James was born in Gastonia, NC and lived in several different cities in North Carolina and Georgia during his childhood. He moved to Sanford in 1963 where he and his wife Frances have resided for the past 46 years. James worked in the textile and furniture industries for the past 48 years. James retired from Ultra Craft in 2008. The Phillips’ are members of Cool Springs Baptist Church in Sanford. James and Frances have one son, daughter-in-law, and 3 grandsons. He is a 1960 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School and a 1975 graduate of Central Carolina Community College. He is a Vietnam Veteran, Mason, and Gideon. He joined Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home in August of 2009.
Ceirra is a Sanford native and a 2020 graduate of Fayetteville Tech earning her degree in Funeral Service. She and her husband Matt Davis live in Sanford.
Jimmy is retired from Windstream and a member of First Baptist Church of Sanford. He and his wife Janet Moore Tucker have one daughter Abigail.
